Welcome to Shirdi Sai Mandir

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Dear Sai Bandhus,

It has come to our attention that anonymous letters were sent to members of our congregation making statements about our fiscal management of the Temple.  These letters have only recently come to light and we are still learning about the situation.  However, we can confidently state that these malicious allegations in the letter are not true.  We are disappointed that unfounded statements were made in this manner about dedicated people in their volunteer capacities as Temple committee members, causing unnecessary distress to all those affected, including members of our congregation.

The letter and its contents are not official correspondence from the Temple and appear to be the work of ill-informed or malicious sources.  If you receive such a letter, we ask that you inform the Temple so that we may take appropriate action.  While the accusations in the letter are wrong and have no merit, our priority and commitment is to the welfare of the temple and its congregation.  Therefore, we are taking steps to retain legal counsel and an independent auditor to review and advise on the situation more fully.  We assure you that this unfortunate incident is not reflective of us or the Temple and, consistent with our commitment to transparency, we will continue to inform you as we investigate this matter further.

Shirdi Sai Mandir was established as a non-profit organization in 2006 in a leased premises and initially the temple was being run by volunteers and later on in 2008 a priest was hired to perform the services to Baba. 11 acres of land was acquired in 2012 and the Mandir was moved to the permanent site in June 2013 with an elaborate 3 day sthapana ceremony. Today the temple is open 7 days a week and all 4 Aarathis are performed to Baba.

The existing structures on the land acquired have been renovated to accommodate Babas Dwarakamayi and the vision is to build a permanent mandir with the blessings of Baba and support of the devotees by 2018 on the eve of the 100th year of Baba Mahasamadhi.
